What a weekend!

I get stoked when the weekend rolls around. It's what we prepare for. It's our "big game" 52 times a year. This weekend was great, not perfect by any means, but great.

Saturday morning Jen and I went with some friends (the Coyles) on a boat ride around Elliot and Boca Chita Keys. We cruised to Bayside for lunch and hung out for a while before enduring the slightly bumpy ride back to Black Point. (By the way, if you like "the Knife" in Coconut Grove, they just opened a restaurant and "take out" version of it at Bayside.) It was a cool start to the day. The ocean is one of the places that screams God's creativity to me. I literally am in awe everytime I'm in or near it.

revolution is also doing the series, "Pursuit of Happiness" and it's great to examine and apply what Jesus is teaching us. A student accepted Christ at the 9am on Sunday and we are so amped for him. A couple of students signed up for Beach Baptism as well. We are seeing students grow and it's humbling. How is that serving God can be great work, fun and so fulfilling!!?!?! There is nothing else like it.

Middle School and High School teamed up to have a leader BBQ on Sunday afternoon. It was phenomenal. We did some training and cast some vision and had a great time! (We've even created a website dedicated to training our leaders...audio files, pdf files, etc, all to simplify getting the info into our leaders hands. It's functional, but we will continue to develop it.) Much love to the High School students who cooked, babysat and everything else so we could pull this off for our leaders. I'm telling you, we have some amazing students.

We have a podcast of our weekend services. It's only the audio, if you itune, you can type "irevolution' in the search area of the itunes store and get it for free. One of our students wants it to go video, so we are toying with that. We videotaped this weekend, it's a bit rough, but it's cool to see students take the initiative and lead it.

I'm excited about our future. We are gearing up for El Salvador in June and Mississippi in July. More on those two trips later. Our Volunteer Festival is May 11...make sure you come!

It's an exciting time to serve and be a part of what God is doing at CF...let's enjoy this journey together!
