We had our second beach baptism for the year at Bill Baggs Park on Key Biscayne this last weekend! It was awesome! I love it when our church family comes together to celebrate and watch as new believers follow Christ in obedience!
Several High School students were baptized. I get really amped when High School students continue to grow in their faith.
We chose to drive the boat over this time. In reality, it was shorter to put the boat in the water and drive over there than it is to just drive normally.
As we were returning to Matheson Hammock docks, we were commenting how fortunate we are to live in Miami. It's an amazing place to live and serve. It was a beautiful evening as evidenced by the picture. Our appreciation for nature and surroundings turned to appreciation for some of the hilarious things people do in Miami. (second pic)
Yes...that's a Cadillac Escalade and yes, it's underwater. Bad day at the docks for those people. I asked someone in their boat what happened and he commented, "They just drove it down in the water." (that's the extremely edited for content version!).
Woops. A bad way to end the day.
I was even more blown away when the Escalade was pulled from the water and the boat owners began putting on the the trailer...still attached to the Escalade. The owner jumped inside the truck and turned the key forward only to hear a faint clicking sound.
The lesson is we learn from our mistakes. Some mistakes require an attitude adjustment or similiar, while some mistakes require new leather and a great mechanic.
