Craig Groeschel of LifeChurch.tv made a great statement which I thought was worth repeating.
"You are successful because of who you are in Christ. You please God by obeying him, not performing up to your personal expectations."
May we never set our standards so low as to find ultimate satisfaction in our own goals or pleasing other people.
We truly live for "an audience of One".
