It's official!
Eric and I signed the contract to write the book "Simple Student Ministry". We're pretty stoked to apply the simple process to student ministry in writing. It isn't just a great idea, it's effective!
Simple Student Ministry is a follow up to Eric Geiger and Thom Rainers' book, "Simple Church."
In the picture, Tony Isaacs, Eric and myself are pictured. Tony was the official witness, which is very appropriate since I was Tony's intern when he was in student ministry. Eric brought the contract to staff meeting, a very cool surprise and definitely humbling.
We've been hard at work already and anticipate some great stuff. yeah baby!
Pray for us as we write-it is all for the glory of God!

Congrats! I'll be looking forward to picking it up at a Living Word near me!
We'll definitely have to have a book signing. Maybe we'll just invite you, and not E.
Wait, does E read your blog. Crap!
Congrats.
Thank you guys. I am so stoked. Book signing for sure!
I'm not sure anyone would actually want me to sign it, so we better make sure E is available!
congratulations man!
I can't wait for Simple Student Ministry. I recently (as in this week) started my first full time student ministry position, and have blessed with a pastor who thinks progressively. He put me onto Simple Church, and it was the perfect read for me right before I started the job.
My question is this (and possibly one that you'll address in the book), how do you plan all events as part of the process in student ministry? It seems like students need some events that are just fun hang out times, and it is hard to find a natrual fit in the process, next step, or how they can serve as a great moving agent between points. Any thoughts?
Jeff, I'm glad that you are getting some buzz going. Let me know if there is anything else I can do like another post some time on my youth blog.
