Oranges, Wade and Muhammed Ali

Jen and I got to attend the Orange Bowl last night, our second consecutive year! We were pretty stoked when we got the call from Pastor Eric about the free tix and parking pass.

Eric and Kaye Geiger, JR and Jess Lovins and Jen and I arrived at Dolphin Stadium about 755, game time at 8. The feel was completely different at the stadium this year. We noticed first that 7 out of 8 cars didn't have beer cans stacked higher than a small man. There were also fewer burned out grills from "tailgating gone bad". UL and WF must not be the caliber of party schools as PSU and the other team from last year. That was cool because it was also reflected inside the stadium as well. It's nice watching a game when you aren't surrounded by incoherent people spewing obscenities!

Eric passed Dwayne Wade in the hall and we pursued him for a pic and engaging conversation. Apparently, he had somewhere else to be. (to be truthful, we felt a bit like a pre-teen girl chasing a Backstreet Boy, even though it was nothing like that.) Mohammed Ali sat behind us and to the left in a club box. We had a pretty good view, but most of the pix turned out to be grossly inefficient. (cell phone cameras!)

We cheered for Louisville because JR and Jess are from Kentucky. We wore red...we just happen to get seats in the Louisville section which was cool. Louisville won quite convincingly, 24-13.

Overall, a great night. Good times and fun with friends is tough to beat. Living in Miami is awesome!
