Back in the M I A

We're back from Mississippi safe and sound. What an amazing trip. The picture is of some of our team (total 73) against the wall of one of the infamous levys in New Orleans. This particular levy broke during Katrina on the other side of canal. The water in this area of N.O. averaged 14 feet deep. We ate at Deanie's in New Orleans on Thursday, great times.

I've learned alot this trip. The value of these trips goes way beyond the effort put into it. I'm looking forward to our next trip. With a team our size I learned some organizational lessons to improve for next time as well as the value of taking more people.

I can't express enough thanks to our leaders that went on our trip. We have some amazing people who love God and students. I'm looking forward to the future.

You should speak to one of the students who went to get their perspective. It will be time well spent.

This weekend at revolution was awesome as well. Mission trips always get me fired up to work that much harder here in Miami. This is our everyday mission field. I really want to impact Miami for Christ on a huge scale. I'm excited that our students will be a part of that mission.

Saturday night outside went well. Both Middle School and High School had their activities and services outside. We had a dunk contest and other crazy stuff. It was cool. Todd spoke and some kids accepted Christ. Sunday morning a girl got saved at our 9am service and 2 students and an adult got saved at our 1030 service. (the adult was there to watch her daughter get baptized!) What a great weekend.

Our new interns, Sara and Jorge from El Salvador, will arrive tomorrow afternoon. We'll spend some time getting them settled and adjusted. We are excited they are coming.

An episode of the "Office" is playing in the background. That's a funny show.
