revolution started a new series this weekend called, "what's next?" We are specifically diving into what the Bible says happens at death. More specifically, what happens to your spirit, whether you die physically or Jesus comes back. It's going to be a pretty good study. We interviewed about 20 students this weekend in fort lauderdale about their thoughts on the subject and it was heart wrenching. Many students live with NO hope of eternity...we have to turn the tide. Every student, whether an emo kid, surfer, punk, princess or stud matters to God. I want so badly to always view students through God's eyes.
Our staff goes on retreat tomorrow. Don't let the word "retreat" fool you...it won't be a time of singing songs around a campfire and playing "group building" games. We could call it "staff goes away to work for a few days"...that would be more appropriate. The truth is, i've come to really enjoy these times of work and pounding out church related stuff. It's challenging and it's great. It's a great time to renew passion and get aligned together.
The picture above is monumental. It's the first time our boat has ever left us hanging. The picture is of the great guy at Tow Boat US taking care of details. (tow boat us is the AAA of the water, so to speak). Even though we didn't get in the water that day and a friend came along that had never been on a boat (what a great first time experience) God was looking out for us the whole time. So the fish are safe... for now.
