The next two days...

Day Two and Three:

It’s been a great day two and three. We didn’t post yesterday due to lack of internet until late at night. I’ll recap some events…

Tuesday:
We did the clinic in the “Trinidad” community. We saw about 240 patients and saw many make decisions for Christ. Here are some interesting facts about that visit:

1. A 15 yr old girl came with a huge hole in her foot, the wound was filled with maggots. She didn’t know her name or where she lived, our nurses believe she lives on her own in the woods.
2. Bulls came down the mountainside and walked right through the middle of our medical station. I’ll try to attach a picture. You wouldn’t even see this on tv!

Our student/evangelism team spent the morning at the clinic and the afternoon in an English speaking school. It was an amazing experience as our team was able to share in groups of two in classrooms. The teams were able to share their faith openly in many classrooms with great conversations. God totally opened the door and we enjoyed walking through it.

We went to a park after our day of working to meet and hang out with locals. We played some basketball and many of our team members were able to share the faith during this time. It was very cool.

Wednesday

Today we hosted the clinic at Zacamil church, our host church. We again saw many people make decisions for Christ. We also saw God work in big ways physically…one lady literally had a stroke while talking to Cathy, one of our nurses. She was able to treat her and get her to the hospital; it saved her life. Praise God for his divine appointments.

Our student/evangelism team spent the morning at the clinic and the afternoon in a Children’s’ hospital. We met kids from 5 days old to 16 years old that suffered from burns, cancer, blood poisoning, etc. It was very humbling to walk through these wards handing out toys and praying with families to offer them hope. We will not soon forget the impact this place had on our lives.
Thursday looks to be our busiest day yet. We’ll keep you posted.
