Giddyup

Yep. It's rodeo time in Homestead and we love it. If you didn't know, Jen grew up on a horse farm at the foot of a mountain in Pennsylvania. She loves to ride horses and is good at it. I like dirt and enjoy watching people get bucked off of a 2000 pound animal, so the Homestead rodeo is the perfect place to hang out.

The food is decent, although i think an arepa actually clogged my left ventricle. We also bump into friends while there. It's a good time.

For some, I think it's some sort of weird fashion show. For instance, who really does have the biggest belt buckle? Should we cut the sleeves off our shirts so our rebel flag tattoos will show, even though they must have been done by a friend and look like spilled ink? Better yet...should we feel like it's ok to break out the 80's era Jon Bon Jovi pants with matching leopard print shirt? I am by no means any sort of fashion police, but daggum.

If you get a chance, check it out the rodeo. Eat the chili, not the alligator. Either way, the rodeo is still "funner than killin' snakes".
