I love meeting people. Especially people who are passionate about what they do. Musicians, mechanics, whoever...anyone who really gets into what they do...I find conversation with them usually pretty educational. This last Saturday night I met someone like that, his name is Tony. Tony was wearing a shirt that said, "World Champion Free Diver", so it got my attention. He was sitting at a cafe table so I posted up next to him for a few minutes to pick his brain. He was polite and pretty informative. I learned very quickly about the life of a commercial spearfisherman. Being able to dive to 100+ feet on a breath of air kind of gets me all amped up! I have so much to learn! You can check out Tony @ www.spearfishingfreediving.com
I'm inspired when people are passionate, but even more so when passionate about their faith. Being passionate for God is so attractive not only to Christians, but to those who are looking for God. I don't want to confuse passion for people who think they are passionate because they are a bully or a know it all. You can raise your voice or be intimidating buth that by no means makes you passionate. You can hear their heart for God when someone is passionate about the things of God. You see it lived out when they love what God loves: the lost, the Church, etc. What an amazing God we serve. I'm inspired by students I know, staff members I work along side of and some of my closest friends. Will you inspire anyone with your passion for God today?
